The strong ongoing partnership between Indwell, one of London’s leading supportive housing charities, and Lovers atWork Office Furniture has created multiple design and furnishing projects of facilities across London, ON. Indwell is a Christian charity that creates affordable housing communities that support people seeking health, wellness and belonging.
The most recent project at Coves Landing saw the implementation of flexible modular space design which allows the rooms to adapt to evolving needs.

Furniture Provided:
Community Room
The community room was designed with the “One Meal A Day” program in mind, where residents are offered a meal and a place to connect with each other. The flip top tables provide easy-to-clean eating surfaces and can be moved around easily to accommodate various activities. The tables nest together seamlessly and can be reconfigured to accommodate many different orientations of the space. The chairs were specified to meet the facilities standards of durability and sanitizability. When needed, the chairs can be easily stacked to open up the space.

Boardroom
The boardroom was designed with the same flexibility in mind. Flip top tables were chosen to ensure the space could be adapted to accommodate meetings, training sessions, or efficient storage when not in use. Ergonomic task chairs were chosen to ensure guests and staff were comfortable and able to adjust to fit their preferences. A matching laminate storage credenza supports a TV and AV equipment for training sessions.

Offices
The main offices provide a cohesive and efficient work environment that encourages collaboration and productivity. High quality desking was specified to ensure durability and felt acoustic panelling was implemented to aid with noise reduction which also provides a privacy barrier for focussed work. The same ergonomic task chairs were specified in the main offices to maintain consistency across the facility.

Library
The last space that was furnished was the amenity room, or ‘The Library’ as the Coves Landing staff refers to it as. This space was designed for quiet relaxation and 1 on 1 meetings. Durable club chairs were chosen for comfort and longevity, while matching laminate bookcases were selected to store the facility’s collection of good reading material for their residents to enjoy.

This project for Indwell’s Coves Landing facility boasts furniture that is made in Ontario Canada, which significantly shortens the distance in which furniture has to travel thus being a more environmentally conscious choice as well as offering efficient service options if needed.
