Description
ergoCentric airCentric 2 Ergonomic Office Chair
The Canadian-made ergoCentric airCentric 2 combines the comfortable feel of an upholstered office chair with ventilation built into the backrest. Adjustable seat depth, back height, tilt and arms help fit the chair to the individual user.
Inspired by the airflow people appreciate in mesh seating, the airCentric 2 uses a supportive foam and upholstered backrest with ventilation openings through the rear shell. It is a practical choice for users who prefer cushioned seating but still want better airflow through the back of the chair.

Upholstered Comfort with Added Airflow
The airCentric 2 was designed for users who prefer the familiar cushioning of an upholstered office chair but still want some of the airflow associated with mesh seating.
The upholstered dual-curve backrest uses supportive foam, while ventilation openings in the back structure allow air to move behind the user. This gives the chair a different feel from an open mesh back while still helping reduce the closed-in feeling of a fully enclosed upholstered backrest.
Back Support That Adjusts to the User
The airCentric 2 includes ergoCentric’s patented back-height adjustment system, allowing the backrest to move vertically so its support can be positioned for different users.
The dual-curve backrest is shaped to provide support through the lower and upper back rather than relying on one flat surface.
Adjustable Seat Depth for Different Leg Lengths
The seat slider allows the seat depth to be moved forward or backward. This helps users with different leg lengths find an appropriate amount of support beneath the thighs without excessive pressure behind the knees.
Seat depth is an important part of fitting an office chair to the individual rather than expecting one fixed seat size to work equally well for everyone.
Control How the Chair Moves
The airCentric 2 provides adjustable tilt tension and back-angle control so the chair can be set to suit different working preferences.
Infinite lock-free float allows the user to move naturally while seated, while the forward tilt lockout and back-angle adjustment provide additional control when a more defined working position is preferred.
Adjustable Arm Support
The armrests can be raised or lowered to help support the forearms while allowing the shoulders to remain relaxed.
Proper arm positioning can be especially useful during computer work, where arms that are too high or too low can contribute to unnecessary shoulder tension.
Optional Adjustable Headrest
An adjustable headrest is available for users who prefer additional head and neck support, particularly when reclining.
For people who spend most of the day working upright at a computer, a headrest may be less important. Users who recline regularly may find it more useful.
